Cinematic websites that bring in work.
Matanah builds one website at a time for owner-run businesses that look smaller online than they are on site. Flagship builds £8,000 to £15,000. What you are reading is the sample.

Measured on the live dinsdale-contracts.pages.dev build, 31 August 2026, Google Lighthouse 12, four runs. Performance scored 90 to 99 on mobile across those runs and 98 on desktop. Throttled performance scores swing run to run, so the range is printed rather than the best one.
The page you are on was measured the same way on 1 September 2026. All 9 of its pages scored 100 for accessibility, 100 for best practices and 100 for SEO, with performance between 96 and 99, and zero layout shift on every one. Run it yourself.
The last one we built
Dinsdale Contracts is live, and you can open it.
A surfacing contractor working across Cumbria and nationally. Seventeen pages, a night-shift film that scrubs with the scroll, and a palette taken off their own logo.

Two things, and only two
One build. Then the part that keeps working.
The honest bit
£500, or £12,000.
Both of those buy a website. Only one of them is trying to win you work.
The cheap one is a template you fill in yourself. It shares its skeleton with thousands of other businesses, it says what every competitor says, and the day it goes live is the last day anyone touches it. That is a fair product at a fair price and plenty of businesses should buy it.
A flagship build is the other thing. Research into how your buyers actually choose. Words written for those people. A film made for your business and nobody else's. A page for every service you want to be found for. A speed and accessibility standard that is measured and published rather than promised.
If one extra job a year pays for it, it has already worked. Most of the businesses this is built for close jobs worth more than the site.
See what is in the priceThe question everybody asks
Yes, AI is in the room. It is not holding the pen.
What AI does
Writes a lot of the code. Generates the film from a shot list. Drafts first passes of copy that then get rewritten. It is a fast pair of hands, and it is treated like one.
What it does not do
Choose the design direction. Decide what your business should lead with. Pick the words that go in front of a buyer. Invent a testimonial, a number, an accreditation or a client. Nothing unverified ships.
How you know
Every build is driven through a real headless browser before launch and the results are handed to you: console errors, contrast against the film's worst frames, reduced motion, four screen widths, Lighthouse run repeatedly with the range reported.
Before you ask
The five questions everyone asks.
Templates cost £500. Why is this £8,000 and up?
Because they are different products. A £500 template is a layout you fill in yourself, sharing a skeleton with thousands of other businesses, and it stops the day it goes live. A flagship build is research into how your buyers actually choose, words written for them, a film shot for your business alone, a page-per-service search structure, and a measured speed and accessibility standard. If you want a £500 website, buy one. The people who spend £12,000 are buying the difference between looking like everyone else and looking like the obvious choice.
It is built with AI. Will it look generic, or break?
AI writes some of the code and generates the film. It does not choose the design, the words, or the structure, and it never ships without being checked. Every build is driven through a headless browser before it goes live: zero console errors, contrast measured against the film's worst frames, no sideways scroll at four widths, reduced-motion states verified in both directions, Lighthouse run repeatedly. The last build scored 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO. The receipts are on this page and the site is live for you to open.
Pretty is fine. Will it actually bring me leads?
A website on its own brings nothing. What brings enquiries is being found, being believed, and making it easy to act. So the build gives you a page for every service you want to be found for, proof placed where doubt happens, and one obvious action on every screen. The retainer does the part that keeps working after launch: reviews, local search, links, and tracking so you can see which pages produce calls. Nobody can promise you rankings, and anyone who does is selling something.
How long does it take, and how much of my time?
Six to eight weeks from the first call to live. Your time is about four hours in total: one call to work out what the site has to do, one call to hand over photos, numbers and the jobs you are proud of, and two rounds of feedback in plain words. You do not write copy, you do not fill in a content spreadsheet, and you do not chase me for updates.
What happens after launch? Am I locked in?
The site is yours. Static files, on your own hosting, no proprietary builder holding it hostage, and you can walk away with it. The retainer is monthly and you can cancel any time. If you cancel, the site keeps working exactly as it did the day you launched. It simply stops improving.
